Valve just offers such a good service with Steam.
I first check Steam before buying a game anywhere else.
GOG is a close runner-up though.

Same, then I load the game I bought on GOG in steam for convenience.

Does that mean…
Uh…
Did steam just turn 43 million people into bottoms???

I’ve basically moved all my ps5 gaming to steam.
I bought a DisplayPort to hdmi 2 adapter for my computer and the expertise got a whole lot better.

You’d think they could afford to knock that 30% cut down a little by now.
- BlackAura@lemmy.worldEnglish3 days
They already do. I forget the numbers but once you’ve sold X copies it drops maybe to 20%? Then once you’ve sold Y copies (where Y > X) it drops even further, say like 10%?

3 daysI legitimately don’t understand this argument.
Can you elaborate why Steam is singled out for this? Something beyond “Steam bad”?
- Almacca@aussie.zoneEnglish2 days
Because Steam is the company under discussion here. I don’t think Steam is bad.

Pretty sure both apple and google have been targetted for this as well, in court cases brought by epic iirc.

That’s not how capitalism works. If anything, they should be increasing their prices because they have a stranglehold on the market.

He bought the yacht company, what’s next? The sea? At least his money isn’t as dirty as most tech ceo’s money is (although it isn’t completely clean)
