2 daysWhat is missing in that article is that blocking globally also might open Quad9 to liability in case of overblocking or falsely reported domains, which has happened in every country which has given rightholders the tools to demand blocks without judicial oversight.

In practical terms, what does this mean for a Q9 user in France? That they have to set it up via DOH?

Am I the only one that has problems when using Quad9 as a forwarder?
I’ve tried multiple times and it would mostly work but I would sometimes have problems with random legit domains returning NXDOMAIN, and then start working later in the day.

I’ve been using quad9 for years, furiously browsing newly created domains, it never happened to me.
