It would even make a decent living room gaming PC. The 3050Ti won’t run the modern AAA junk, but it will handle most indie games and a lot of older games.

Pressed discs last for decades, but they still fail and should be backed up. I’ve never heard of anyone wanting to keep the DRM before though.

Mumble is much better for gaming. It’s lightweight and doesn’t use the GPU at all. Since it’s self hosted, there is no ID verification.

The fine should be much bigger, the generators should be confiscated and any executives that approved it should be in jail.

There are ways to obfuscate VPN traffic that’s resistant to DPI. It makes it look like normal HTTPS traffic. That will make completely blocking VPNs difficult. I’m sure even more effective obfuscation methods will be developed if VPN blocking becomes widespread.

That’s perfectly fine. The only issue is that it may limit performance on some laptops.

Having an alert go off if it gets too warm would be useful. That just needs a smart temperature sensor connected to your HA server though.
The helium slowly leaks out over time. That will increase drag and decrease thermal conductivity. It will run hotter and use more power. There is a SMART attribute that will warn you when the helium is running low.
That’s a helium filled drive, so it’s got a limited lifespan whether it’s running or not. I would at least set it up as a NAS and use it to store your backups.
MakeMKV is the only cross platform bluray ripper that I’m aware of that will work with any disc. For DVDs, I normally use Handbrake.
The Pi 4 & 5 are no good for tinkering anymore, but the Pi Pico microcontrollers still are. I just hope they don’t screw that up too.
