Maybe not quite “true” mining, but there’s definitely a prospecting aspect of finding a good vein. There is a mod for coring/quarrying too. There’s pretty much a mod to make any aspect of the game more/less hardcore.

From what I remember, I believe it was an Australian “moms group” that pulled that stunt.

Vintage Story is a lot like that too. The only thing is there’s no mod browser in the game, you have to open a separate window for it.

VS is like Minecraft but way more realistic. There’s actual metal forging, panning, true mining, farming crops takes a lot longer, weather is a lot harsher. It’s just a more survival-heavy experience.

Like I commented on the other post about this: why not? Why not have all possible PS5 games be emulated as best as possible? Even if the games that are being emulated are absolute dogshit, it’s the principle of the thing.

Maybe it’s because I watch people like SpiffingBrit, RTGame, Mind Pulp, and Game Grumps who are basically the opposite of those types of channels.

I found the disguises an interesting yet limiting gameplay mechanic. Like when you’re wearing a dress/socialite clothes, you can’t just be running around on rooftops and climbing shit. But then iirc there was also a “slave” outfit for going undercover; because the game took place in the South, you see.
