I’ve bought two Pis post 2020 at MSRP, before the recent increase! They’re definitely not the way to go now though. I am happy I have a few for projects!

“IF and AI”

Yeah that’s a thing anyone ever does ever. Brilliant.

Because your hotel room doesn’t have the means to prepare those ingredients. Or you’re homeless and only have access to a fridge and microwave, if you’re lucky. Or your shit is broken. I did say “if something prepared and warm is needed,” which kinda disqualifies buying all the ingredients and making it yourself.

Chipotle is stellar if something prepared and warm is needed and you have a fridge+microwave where you’re staying. Ask for extra beans and rice, get a bunch of salsa (and a cup on the side) and a pack of cheap tortillas from another store. You can get four or more meals at 300-400cal each from one bowl, more if you have some cheap chips and salsa with it!
If you have a stove and lettuce, you can really “fancy” it up—plop two spoonfuls of bowl stuff on a tortilla, wrap it up tight, and shallow fry each side until brown. Mmmmmm
R2ModMan is my favorite, I’ll check this out as well!

I had this issue during the very short time I had AI enabled on my iPhone. Autocorrect went INSANE. It was miserable.
I turned AI features all off and autocorrect went back to being serviceable; I don’t have any issues now other than typing on a screen sucks compared to a physical keyboard.

I right now have an ISP router, but I’ve got an OpenWRT Pi5 and some Lenovo Tinys I can install OpnSense on when I know more things about stuff!

That’s so sick! That’s definitely above my skill level at the moment, but I will save this for when I’m more knowledgeable—thank you much!

Thank you! I currently do run a PiHole, which I’ve been running for like six years? I really need to get that updated as well hahaha. I’ll look into doing it they way!

Would you have any recommendations to resources where I can read about setting something like this up? I’ve recently picked up a managed switch and set up a computer to act as a router, and I’ve been learning how VLANs be. I don’t have things fully working on my home network yet, though, but I’m very interested!

That’s so excellent

I’m actually super down for this. The only thing I use iTunes for is to make encrypted incremental image backups of my phone and iPad. I’d love to just have a specific program for that, rather than all of the iTunes bloat.
As much as I dislike iTunes. Having a one-click encrypted incremental backups is fucking stellar.
Yeah, the best way to go is to have purchased a few of them 3+ years ago!
