The renaturation might be really good. I don’t know how the site looked before.

The renaturation not the evaporative cooling.

Power plants typically connect via the grid, hence aren’t local to the data center. Changing over is trivial. All industry generates waste and consumes energy. That’s not their purpose and framing it as such makes you sound like a raving lunatic. Destroying the environment isn’t profitable. Same goes for killing everyone. You have a warped perception of reality.

Yes. But that’s going to create winds and convection, not pollution. Less so if cooled evaporatively or using said wetland as a heat sink(unlikely). They might even be good for the water table.

Data centers aren’t heavy industry. They do emit some minor pollutants but not excessive amounts. You make it sound like there is an open sewer pipe oozing black sludge.

I.e. higher prices are justified in cost, but not product quality.

Making Hay while the sun is up isn’t particularly evil. Sell those shovels. Everyone is quite aware of the potential of a crash. What are they supposed to do? If they were to sell their RAM below worth ai could just gobble it up on the free market anyway.

Even if this was sustainable and they did scramble to build new fabs you would have to wait to around 2030 to see any production. And prices would have to grow much higher to finance that bonanza. Writing memory chips is done most efficient to make memory filthy cheap. It still is somewhat affordable considering the die area.
And they probably don’t believe in sustained demand through the next 15 years. Memory prices always have been in flux and those that over invest in times of booms are exiting the market bankrupt. It’s among the most cut throat industries.

They aren’t particularly greedy or morons though. It’s not like they can print more memory than their machines can print and their running full bore.
And getting new printers is expensive and very time consuming. Increasing production is simply put impossible.

You don’t have a customery law right to memory. This applies to most things, really. The shortage definitely is real. The consequences may be Chinese memory makers getting to participate in the market. High profits are bad for many sides for it causes upstarts to get hungry and gives them a foothold in the market.
I don’t understand the question? Just tweak the ee5tings until performance is acceptable? Optimizing a game for a GPU, display, and user config is non trivial and varies from game to game.

Shiny Hunters are black hats with sufficient renown. This is likely to be very much a real thing and not a misleading headline.

It’s fundamentally not possible. The honor system does not work if the reward for breaching it is larger than the gain from your honor.
The only plausible solution is making access more expensive.
Edit: Or, more accurately making each access profitable. And that is unlikely as there is no infrastructure to charge a webuser for accessing a site.
Yeah, but this article describes Microsoft exactly not doing that.
