3 daysDoes region locking exist for the Switch 2? That could be a show stopper if you want to play other games later.

There is some level of region-locking exclusively for Japanese switch 2s. I don’t know if this one is one of those locked models, but they really should make sure before they get one.
Basically, the most common Switch 2 model in Japan is cheaper but it only accepts Japanese Nintendo accounts and it only supports the Japanese language.

3 daysThough if the game supports language switching inside the game options then you can play the game in any language even on the Japanese only Switch 2. But many Nintendo games do not expose language options inside the game.

Oh yeah, makes sense that this would work.
Though as you said many games just use the system language and don’t feature an option to change it.

The Switch 2 is massively more cheaper in Japan and locked down tightly from what I understand. I‘m not even sure they would ship one out of the country without asking a few questions.

3 daysYou can just use a proxy shopping service or a mail forwarding service, if you can’t buy them directly from the website.

In America a regular Switch 2 goes for $500, so I’d say that whole bundle for (the equivalent of) $466 is pretty good

3 daysThis is the Japanese only version Switch 2 hence why it’s so much cheaper.

Yes if you don’t already have a Switch 2 and want one. I enjoy mine. All Switch 1 games load much faster and some look and run better. On top of it being the modern console for the next ~7 years. It probably won’t get any cheaper if you want one new.
