Counter-argument: ROFLCOPTER

Burning the furniture to heat the house is such a good analogy, wow.

I should follow their development more closely. Seems like they’re doing killer work! Thanks for that link!

That’s what I was afraid of, until I heard about the details view.
But you’re kind of saying that the details view is pretty much bullshit? Real and actual usage numbers but with no practical significance when looking at the grand total, kind of thing?

Who, Fluxer?
Was there something wrong with those two things, that made them want to “redo” them?

I’m trying to get my friends to join me on Fluxer, away from Discord. I haven’t even tried the audio on Fluxer yet. 😔
But it’s good to have several alternatives to Discord, at least eventually. 👍

Can this really be claimed here? They supposedly have a detailed view in your account where you can see where your money has gone to, like how much goes to AI and how much doesn’t, according to one comment.
If they don’t send money to the AI company, the money doesn’t reach that company. I feel like that makes it not fungible in this context, no?

Sorry, I’m not good with economy terminology, and English isn’t my first language. What does that mean, fungible? I looked it up but I couldn’t make much sense of it.

I dunno, I tend to lean more towards “I buy a product or service from company A that in turn has a deal with or buys a product or service from company B, I am indirectly funding company B”. 😬

Money coming from me that ends up with a company that supplies an AI product, directly or indirectly, funds AI. Am I wrong in saying that?
If I’m not wrong, it’s not complicated. But maybe I’m missing something. I don’t think I can easily see in which way you are looking at it in your example. 🫣

Well that’s a pretty good system, I have to admit.

So if I, the customer, pay money, and this money gives me (optional) access to a bunch of commercial models… Does that not fund AI?

I wonder if also works in the EU market. 🤔

And that’s not even to talk about how “Wi-Fi 7” is the actual standard and some makes are skirting this by calling what they do “WiFi 7” simply so they can avoid false advertisement.
I would argue that that is still false advertising, because most people can’t tell the difference between “WiFi” and “Wi-Fi”. 😔

Quite understandable. I rarely gamble with ordering food. If I’m paying money for someone to cook me something to eat, I want to know that I’ll like it.

That is what it seems like, but I didn’t want to accuse before confirming with that person.

Must be so.
Also people are really passionate about hating McD to the point of down voting due to an opinion and circumstance. 😆 Bless these souls.
Ah shit, you got me with that one. That right there is undisputable.
