I keep harping on this, but this is a massive regret - sure they were bulky and power hungry, but I would sell a kidney (not necessarily mine) to be able to buy a modern CRT to enjoy my old PS1 light gun games (Pount Blank, Ghoul Panic, Rescue Shot, Time Crisis etc.) again.

If there’s any girls there I want to do them!

Not sure if this quite counts, but Catherine for the PS3/X360 was the first title that came to mind.

I don’t really have much server space on my NAS currently, and am holding off on a (TBH much needed) upgrade until HDD prices come down somewhat - but I would love to try and set something up like this for my (complete) library of SNES ROMs at the very least.

I just fear my old QNAP TS-419PII from ~20yrs ago is not up to the task. 😅

My guy, I’m right there with you. I have a boxed copy of Unreal Tournament 2004 on my shelf, that I bought back in uni… more than half a lifetime ago!

As best as I can discern, they have custom palm tree art on the arms with a custom pink Oakley logo, standard prizm sapphire lens, custom Vice City engraving on the lens.

So not something that can be 1:1 replicated with their customiser tool, but you could get pretty close.

Not defending it, in any way shape or form - but the regular versions of the included Oakley Frogskin sunglasses retail for almost half the price of this “CE”.

Not sure exactly why they decided to do this - but I can imagine this (in conjunction with the ludicrously overpriced vinyl set) is intended to milk as much money out of the most die-hard fans as quickly as possible to appease shareholders and recoup the supposed $2b budget.

There is like a good chunk of an entire decade’s worth of games that can’t be played on PC legitimately due to either expired licenses for music (e.g. EA Trax) or lack of support for older, disc-based DRM (SecuROM etc.).

That’s before factoring older titles that no longer work due to arbitrary changes to DirectX and the Windows kernel, which break backwards compatibility.
