The classic flash game Happy Wheels is now available to purchase on Steam. Ahhh, nostalgia. Nice to see this game will live forever.
I bought Monster Hunter Rise as it’s currently 90% off on Steam, really enjoying my time with it so far.

It’s a good time to jump in, there are a lot of new and returning players right now and everyone is re-learning the new map (as well as the 6 new characters that are releasing).

The new patch is amazing. I feel like the game is getting close to being opened for the public. Wild that I have 500 hours on a game that hasn’t been formally announced yet.

It’s still unfinished in many ways. It’s very easy to join the open beta, and there are threads where people invite randoms into it, but they don’t want to start advertising it just yet.

Can’t mention best NES tracks without Tim Follin. Silver Surfer level 1 is insane. Also the soundtrack for the unreleased game Time Trax.
You are moving the goal post here.
And you’re being pedantic. Any computer made in the last 15 years can run a browser. If your laptop can’t run a browser, you probably can’t even run Steam. Why are we even talking about this?
But a good native Godot export is certainly faster then a good web export of the same game made nativley with web technology.
I’m a Godot developer and this is wrong.
If you’re on a computer that can’t run a web browser in 2026 I’m out of words honestly.
Also, Godot exported to the web would definitely run worse than a game made directly for the browser.
So what? Why are you acting like it’s a great scam or grand conspiracy? It is the web game - now on Steam. It wasn’t advertised as anything more than just a version of the web game you can play for a few dollars. Are you upset it’s bundling Electron instead of the game being re-written in Assembly for maximum optimization? It’s a very simple game that runs on everything. But thanks for the cynical breakdown of the technology used, I guess.
Why is this a problem?

It’s hard to convey why you lost because it’s often the result of a lot of mistakes that accumulate over time, such as the lack of building any income.
That said a lot of tower defenses have a sorta clear reason why you lost, such as a boss or a type of enemy you didn’t deal with properly. In BTD6, if you lost from a big zeppelin then you don’t have much single target damage. If you lost from camo bloons, then you lack camo detection, etc. It’s usually fairly obvious why you lost, and if you have multiple lanes then maybe you didn’t care for a specific one.
TL;DR this is a huge overhaul of the popular open-source audio editing app. The UI specifically has been the biggest overhaul, making it a lot more modern and friendly to use.
Hopefully, one day, GIMP will get some kind of update like this.
I’m really happy with this thing. I was considering getting the RG SP but it was a solid $20-30 more expensive, since it’s the newest model. Meanwhile, good offers were being made for the 34XX-SP which is basically the same device.
Initial impressions:

The final level song is definitely a banger.
Thanks for sharing the arcade version, first time I’ve heard of that as well and it was an interesting watch. This game would’ve gone hard with a guitar hero-style controller. Shocking amount of original cutscenes for an arcade game, too.
The fact that Jonathan Ross was the one who ended up saving the arcade game is crazy. I knew I liked that guy.
Some gameplay if you have no idea what this is.
Um Jammer Lammy is a sequel to Parappa the Rapper set in the same universe but following a different character. Rather than being a rhythm game about rap, this one is mostly rock with some other genres mixed in.
I’m kind of shocked that despite playing Parappa 1 and seeing some of Parappa 2, I never heard of this one. This one was made in the middle, and despite the name making it sound like a spinoff, it is basically a direct sequel (Parappa is even in this one too).
This game is way better than Parappa 1. The input detection actually works here so you don’t randomly lose when you’re hitting buttons on the beat. The game’s still hard though, just less unfair. The length is similar to the first game but you’d be surprised at how quick you can beat it now that the game works properly, it took me just under 2 hours.
There’s a surprising amount of post-game content though, including a hard mode where you get to play as Parappa, and boy does it get insanely hard. People that 100% games are going to have a rough time with this one.
The only thing it doesn’t have over the Parappa 1 is the music though. The music here is good but it’s not as catchy as the first. The story is also a totally incomprehensible acid trip that I can’t even explain if I wanted to. At one point she gets fat from eating pizza that the town thinks she’s in labor and drags her into a hospital with a bunch of pregnant women. Yeah.
TL;DR: A great sequel to Parappa the Rapper that got completely overlooked for some reason, which is a shame because it’s much better in many ways. Highly recommended if you’re a rhythm game fan.
Some of my comments/posts still aren’t getting federated. The admins said last week that they’re looking into it, is there any news on that front?
Getting federation issues again today. Posts & comments aren’t showing in other instances.

I’m completely speechless. This looks so terrible I thought it was a joke, but apparently Nvidia released these demos to impress people. DLSS 5 runs the entire game through an AI filter, making every character look like it’s running through an ultra realistic beauty filter.
The photo above is used as the promo image for the official blog post by the way. It completely ignores artistic intent and makes Grace’s face look “sexier” because apparently that’s what realism looks like now.
I wouldn’t be so baffled if this was some experimental setting they were testing, but they’re advertising this as the next gen DLSS. As in, this is their image of what the future of gaming should be. A massive F U to every artist in the industry. Well done, Nvidia.
It’s honestly kinda crazy how long some games spend in development. The Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy is a perfect example of something that should’ve been quick but ended up being so bloated and took forever to make.
FF7Remake was announced in 2015, got stuck in development hell for a bit, released 2020. The sequel released 2024. The third one still hasn’t been teased yet. How many people are attached to a franchise if it takes 10 years to get the full story? I loved the first remake but dropped the second one, I just didn’t care about the story as much as I did ~5 years ago.
Crazy Taxi. I feel like it could be really fun to have mods and custom maps, I’m a bit disappointed nobody’s really tried to do a decomp yet.
