I thought this was a pretty cool project.

I have a fairphone. Its awesome and repairable. Its not the cheapest but its no where near what phones can cost.
Fully recommended. My union fought RTO and got me a raise.
Nice those are my favorites too.
I wish Tetris effect had the option to have community music and levels as well.
Im a data janitor at my job. Theres no real love for stuff I make for the job. Sure I do a good job, but I dont pretend im making anything other than take data here -> clean it up -> put data new place half the time.
One thing LLMs have done is balloon the amount of projects that exist. Once a proof of concept is made, iterating on an AI project becomes a bit harder than normal, since your not the one who made the initial product. Also management often wants it out NOW rather than waiting on unsloppifying anything.
And management has now had a couple of years moving peoples jobs to an AI project. Which means ironically im doing MORE work since there is just more code all over the place. And AI is starting to get expensive per token… So they are hiring again haha.
Meanwhile at my house, ive been playing around with my open source ebook reader without any AI involvement. Its fun to make a small change and look at it from all angles. Small changes to make something for me.
Oh! Thanks!!
Your like the third person here talking about that game. I’m gonna recommend it to my wife.
Oh! I want to try. Loved balatro.
Mostly involving Discord
My wife has over 1200+ hours in skyrim. Your girlfriend is going to enjoy I think haha. GL!
I totally put this up last night thought I would get 10 people commenting. Yeah so far 10x that. Crazy.
It was an oops haha. Fixed.
Another spanwave enjoy-er, nice. I would be cool if he knew about the fediverse.
Ohh another person to follow, thanks!
I was hoping to get some physical games here too.
It counts!
I saw a video on spawnwave that talked today about what games people are enjoying in 2026 right now. And the different reactions of different social media/sites.
I personally am loving Wild Blue Skie s. Its just starfox. Thats what I want to play!
BALL x PIT is a whole lot of fun. I didn’t think it would be but it keeps getting better and better.
I also liked FTL back in the day so I picked up Void War . Its like warhammer + FTL and its fantastic.
EDIT: You all are great! Keep them coming! So many games (video games and otherwise) in this list!
WHAT’S COVERED
Somari (1994)
The original bootleg. Most of its graphics are based on Sonic 1 for the Genesis, while the Green Hill background and the Special Stages come from the Master System version. Somari himself was drawn over Mario’s sprite from Super Mario Bros. 3. It includes every zone except Scrap Brain and even adds the Spin Dash, but the physics are clumsy, the level design is poor, and there are no checkpoints or continues.
Sonic the Hedgehog (1998)
A Hummer Team hack, also sold as Sonic 3D Blast 5, that puts Sonic back in the lead. It adds a new title screen and an attract mode, but starts in Spring Yard Zone and comes with a misassigned level select and typos like “Spring Yand.”
Level Fix (2016), by Hybrid
Puts the start back at Green Hill Zone, fixes the level select mapping, and corrects “Spring Yand.”
Improvement V1.0 (2016), by the jabu
Made for Sonic’s 25th anniversary, this is where the community’s work on the original Somari begins: new Sonic sprites, retouched palettes, extra animation, a better-centered camera, a controllable Spin Dash, and reworked acceleration. Fifty rings now get you into the Special Stage, though the Chaos Emeralds are still missing.
Improvement + Music (2016), by Ti, with tracks by Amilgi
Every track redone using only the NES’s own sound hardware, and sound effects no longer cut off the music.
Improvement + Graphics (2016), by Terwilf
A graphics-focused patch covering scenery, items, enemies, and Sonic himself.
Improvement V1.2 (2017), by FuriousHedgehog
Another graphics pass, with the jabu’s, Ti’s, and Terwilf’s work already included: a reworked title screen, corrected Sonic sprites, updated background tiles, redrawn rings, a Genesis-style number font, and a life icon inspired by Sonic Mania.
Sonic the Hedgehog Vol. 2 (2020), directed by Terwilf
An unofficial continuation of the jabu’s project and a full rebuild of the game: overhauled physics and collisions, variable jump height, checkpoints and continues, the Chaos Emeralds and Super Sonic, fourteen emeralds with a second round of faux 3D Special Stages in the style of Sonic 3’s Blue Spheres, a redesigned Labyrinth Zone, Scrap Brain Zone made from scratch, proper endings with cutscenes, and an optional FM soundtrack for EPSM hardware and compatible emulators like Mesen-X.
Channel members get full longplays of several of the versions featured in this video.
The issue is even Linux is having AI code within it now…
I cant believe my raspberry pis are going up in price! and pis are getting more expensive!
I’ll be honest I was waiting for the skyrim joke that never popped up.
