Yup. We even know when it’s going to hit - 2027-8.

But hoarding shit and accumulation is what capitalism does.

“we’re literally creating the need for a communist revolution, but the stockholders demand it!”

I mean, OK, we’re all accelerationists now I guess, ducky!

Please, Elon isn’t even as cool as a crackhead.

It was ketamine.

AI is obviously a bubble.

That said, Burry has also predicted 6 of the last 2 crashes.

Bonds are a bad call as well, as the US government is screwed on interest and will be inflating.

Gold is a better call, this looks like stagflation coming.

It’s not deterministic.

This is the first thing about LLMs always, and what most people can’t seem to understand.

LLMs are a thing where you give an input and get an output, and it happens to correspond to reality much of the time. But there’s no actual understanding there.

I believe it also includes international airports in the orange area?

that’s completely fair - would labeling then be ideal for you?

Just like a quality architect wouldn’t want to build a house

As someone who actually went to school for that before tech - architects don’t build houses.

You know who does, in the US? Del Webb and other massive builders, who give the lowest common denominator slop because that’s what the economics of the market demand, and the profits of the funding require.

The problem is almost always the power relationships behind the tools - it’s not that the plans are done by CAD or hand that matter.

Yeah, exactly.

As someone who has been working on a large open source project for literally years, while trying to support a family, the hardest thing is time to devote to this project (which, absent capitalism, is what I’d spend my life doing).

AI can allow me to instead increase the speed at which I’m delivering the project I’d already architected, designed, and laid out with my other devs. I don’t have the money to pay myself to work on it, much less other devs - and my bank doesn’t take repo stars as mortgage payments unfortunately.

I hate the AI industry - but that’s a problem with the economics, not the tool.

I’m happy to label that my project uses AI assistance, but bans just make me realize that wherever is banning it isn’t more concerned with shipping a solution instead of a crusade against LLMs.

Because setting up crypto portals at scale, and most importantly so they can’t easily be hacked and drained or used for money laundering, is not a simple matter.

You need something to limit spammers using the service to sign up a million accounts

Pity that the entire readme is a wall of generated word salad, apparently aimed at other bots rather than flesh and blood developers.

Sorry, which part is unclear? I’m the main developer on the project, and there’s also a few others that are adding in. The tone problems are probably mine.

There’s also a more concise website - currently moving it to the .org, but you can see it now at https://neighborsgoods.com/

The project has to balance between the very theoretical parts of library socialism as a whole, the ideas of the platform as a whole, and needs of a small library now, so it’s obviously not going to hit any part 100%. But I’m happy to clarify anything - and make sure the text gets updated to be clearer!

weird how Chinese AI firms aren’t saying this - but then, they don’t have a massive fiscal crunch where they have to take delivery of trillions of dollars worth of contracted compute, that they haven’t yet found a market for . . . .

If I didn’t know better, I’d think they were trying to angle for a bailout!
