On a laptop, I like tiling and heavy use of workspaces with touchpad/touchscreen gestures. I also like having the fold back over itself tablet mode and stylus input.
On a desktop, I like more standard floating windows across multiple monitors with lighter use of workspaces, controlled by keyboard shortcuts.
The fact that the man who wrote Speaker For The Dead is a bigot is mind boggling
