And, honestly, which is the more common question to Google these days: a 10-15 year old NBA meme, or people distraught about supposed friends ghosting them?
looking at the search results, I would say the NBA meme. who the fuck asks the search engine for life advice? asking the chatbot about that sadly has become kind of natural… but to people the chatbot is the [AI company name] app on their phone.

what was DoubleClick like before the acquisition? were they already dealing in data mining?

“use” I bet it just saves everything automatically, and they don’t even know their passwords are there. just “oh look, my password has appeared, lets click it!”

it does not depend on the name. like, we all use Transmission Control Protocol and HyperText Transport Protocol, and nobody cares because they don’t need to know. things can also be renamed before starting use in production, like we aren’t normally calling tech by their RFC numbers

7 daysElliptical curve for RSA was immediately phased out
what? when did RSA want to use elliptical curves? its a completely different technology. and ECC itself was not phased out of anywhere. certain curves were, not ECC as a whole.

7 daysAnd if I remember correctly, I believe it has more weaknesses (especially potential unknown ones) than RSA.
what are those weaknesses? so far I have only read for users that ECC is more secure than RSA
But it’s definitely more efficient on embedded hardware,
not only on embedded hardware, but everywhere and also in network transfer because of the smaller keys

9 daysI’m always ready for some ursula blaming but the first two are really not the fault of the law. majority of the companies “comply” maliciously, often also illegally, to make people hate privacy laws

you are wrong. people would buy it without thinking twice. also, it doesn’t need to be obvious, anything could be hidden in an additional package that looks like the other memory chips on the stick
