In other words, the issue doesn’t appear to be that young adults no longer value relationships. Rather, when dating feels exhausting, rejection feels inevitable, privacy is scarce, and money is tight, digital intimacy can become an easier alternative.

The reality: “Nobody stops to fuel their vehicle taking gasoline, gets out, rushes as fast as possible, puts as much fuel in the car as possible, and gets back in the car and drives away,” Cutler said.

I, in fact, do exactly that. I pull up in front of the pump, get out, stick my card in, fill up, and leave. It’s been over ten years since I went inside the store at a gas station, there’s nothing in there I want to buy.

However, needing to spend half an hour recharging if I were on a road trip would be fine, because on a road trip I would stop for a break from driving in any case. But, I almost never go on road trips, and 99.9% of my trips around town would be well within one charge, which I could do at home.

So, while I agree that charging doesn’t need to be as fast as gas, it’s not because of his stated reason.

I remember finding this out a while back. I tried to install it, but had some problem I don’t recall. I’ll try again. Thanks.

EDIT: Ah, right. It doesn’t find my mounted drives nor my shared drives from my server. Nor does it show previews of any filetype but images (which IS nice), just a big icon for text files, for instance.

I suppose there are fixes for these things, but I didn’t find anything in configuration or in the help section of the website after a quick search. That’s as far as I’m willing to dive into this, because I know I could spend hours on this, and still not find a solution from past experience.

Thanks, anyway.

I finally got to handle a demo pair at Best Buy a few weeks back. They feel cheap and creaky. No one mentions this.

There’s one thing Windows does that I miss. The big preview pane in file explorer.

Better to pay the small fine, than ask permission.

He’ll probably tear it down. He just wants the land to build something new.

There were many questions in the poll, below is a screen shot of the 17% number in context. You can find all of the poll results here:
