Which s3 tools are you using for s3 image hosting for your for profit web sites.
I plan on using podman containers hosting either:
GarageHQ SeaweedFS RustFS Silo ceph None / Directory
Seaweed and RustFS are both Apache related licensing while garageHQ and silo are both agpl-3. Ceph is lgpl-2.1
I was leaning towards garage but since my website will not be open source I think there may be a problem with that so looking into other options.
Unfortunately rustfs is known for ai slop so even though I was leaning that way I might just remove it from my options.
Seaweed is known for being efficient for millions of small files but I don’t know what that means for images.
Ceph may be too much of a time investment for me but looks interesting.
Silo is the fork of minio and appears to have the same licensing issue. I also don’t find much feedback about it but it is still pretty new.
There’s the option of old fashion directory image hosting. Would love to utilize my dream of a Slackware image host server (something I always wanted to do but never did) but wonder if that is outdated for a professional website.

Cool. So I could bet a hundred million on a candidate, my predictions will show up in cbs reporting (acting like a campaign since it influenced the report), then I spend 50 million on ads supporting my candidate…
Profit.
