11 daysI think the Pentagon is looking for a fall guy for the attack and they know Palantir will take it. While the Obama administration still continued bombings and assassinations, the administration required approval to go through the White House rather than trust internal DoD procedures. This went away when Trump took office.
My guess is that the DoD didn’t have the procedures in place to figure this shit out but they now need someone to blame.

I’ve seen some discussions on whether it would be possible to build in a reward/punishment system into some forms of AI. That would be an intentional addition of pain and pleasure.
There have also been cases where AI has self advocated for not being turned off, so there may be a case where AI develops some form of self preservation, even if it is just a mimicry of biological self preservation.
