Technology@lemmy.world•Indie game developers have a new sales pitch: being ‘AI free’byBJW@lemmus.orgEnglish
9 daysAgreed. That’s why I believe that all business applications of AI should be taxed, and those funds redistributed to the populace. Everyone conceivably contributed, therefore everyone should benefit.

9 daysA downvote implies your contribution has no merit - why bother offering something that others will not value? It’s pretty simple.

9 daysI’m probably alone in really liking the results. The hair is especially impressive, and I like the translucency effect on the dreamcatcher style hair adornment. The lipstick seems unnecessary but I have to admit it does make the characters seem more lifelike to have some delineation compared to the mono colored face skin textures.

10 daysNo artist’s work is being directly used. It’s like arguing that artists owe Disney or Studio Ghibli money if they learned from watching their animations.

11 daysYes, because the AI generated the game in a bubble, with no direction by a person. It’s just constantly spitting out games of its own volition with no input from people.

Or he’s actually keeping up with the news.

Elite Beat Agents is amazing, but if you can believe it it really feels like a toned down version of the zaniness that is the original: “Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!” (roughly translated means: “Go! Fight! Cheer Squad!” I’ve played both and much prefer the original. Worth a try if you can arrange it, one way or another.
