If they were genuinely worried about enslaving sentient beings, they could stop anytime trying to hype it up by creating 10000 agents and throwing math problems at them.

I wonder whether if it is marketing or paving the way to “LLMs must only be provided by big tech because it is very dangerous”. I wouldn’t be surprised if in a decade or so they lobby for integrated hardware surveillance that detects “illegal LLMs”

Makes me wonder, if all this rucus about LLMs’ threats to humanity is warming up to lobbying for making usage of open LLM models illegal in future so that big tech can monopolize on it.

Some states (Florida, Texas) have actually stopped or scaled back using these cameras because of the bad publicity the company got from all the backlash. So yeah, it might actually show him.

It is also about AI because they need to have something that removes human accountability.
