The music played as the final delegates, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, arrived before the nations’ leaders made their entrance. Reporting on the event live from the venue, The Guardian’s Jakub Krupa noted: “And – I swear to God, I’m not making this up - ‘Send in the Clowns’ proves to be the final song building up to the entrance of Trump, Frederiksen and Nielsen.”
Whether the song selection was deliberate or an unfortunate mishap remains uncertain. Mirror US has contacted the UN in New York for comment.
There is literally no searchable news source that i can find for this, other than the lets-be-honest iffy irishstar (which also appears to be the hindustan times) but I don’t doubt the Guardian reporter (who is real) at all - I just want a major corporate news sewer link.
