it started from a broken search bar then when I tried to fix it something else broke, then it became the most annoying whack a mole game of all time so I removed everything and start from scratch.
I fucking hate the rounded tabs. Disgusting, space wasting, genericism slop.

I agree, I disabled them in
about:config. I believe the variable isbrowser.nova.enabled. - 18 hours
I genuinely thought I had opened Chrome somehow the other day when this update came out for me. It’s so dumb.

Australis was the GOAT, the menu was very good, since then it’s just a list of things.

Yeah I actually really like how they did with the back button on the 2nd picure

So instead of just toggling it off, you invested lots of time intentionally making your browser look bad?

Not for me lol. I added the config to my user.js, committed to my repo, and restarted the browser. Now I have what I wanted and not a gross mess, and it took 1 minute.

buttons and menus are still rounded I wanted everything square for the colors that’s just place holders later I will make it match my desktop theme, plus with my own CSS I can make everything use only one row which is save a lot of space

I’ve done similar when designing/troubleshooting CSS - obnoxious colours, temporary heavy borders (potentially also obnoxious colours). Makes it much easier to see where your objects are specifically, z-index, unintentional overlaps and so on.

dw, i do it too! it seems fairly logical; akin to using silly placeholder strings in programming.

Ok. I just turned that new toggle switch off in about:config because, while I didn’t love it, it was for me more just that the old style was easier to parse and I was also used to it.

I did the same at first. Then I went with this instead:
* { border-radius: 3px !important; }I’ll fix things one by one slowly, probably until the next UI overhaul comes. Then start over.

I’m in the same boat with a custom theme – even Librewolf is affected by this crap. Any tips on fixing the search? I don’t know what’s so hard about a fucking text box that they have to tweak the whole DOM every second update.

- try this:
#urlbar { background-color: var(--seco); background-image: none !important; border: 1px solid var(--line) !important; margin-bottom: 3px !important; margin-left: -3px !important; margin-right: -4px !important; height: 30px !important; } .urlbar-background { background-color: transparent !important;; } #identity-icon-box { display: none !important; } .button-background.labelled { border-radius: 0px !important; } #trust-icon-container, #QRCodeGeneratePageAction, #star-button-box, #picture-in-picture-button, #ssbPageAction, #urlbar-zoom-button, #reader-mode-button, #identity-permission-box { border-radius: 0px !important; }- url container:
:root {--urlbar-container-padding-block: none !important; } .urlbarView-background { background-color: transparent !important; margin: 10px !important; border: 0px !important; } .urlbarView { background-color: var(--seco) !important; margin: 10px !important; border: 1px solid var(--line) !important; border-radius: 0px !important; } .urlbarView-row[selected] { background-color: var(--accent) !important; border-radius: 0px !important; margin-left: 4px !important; margin-right: 3px !important; } .urlbarView-row:hover { background-color: var(--accent) !important; border-radius: 0px !important; margin-left: 4px !important; margin-right: 3px !important; } /*remove from history button*/ .urlbarView-button { background-color: transparent !important; fill: var(--text) !important; border-radius: 0px !important; } .urlbarView-button:hover { background-color: transparent !important; }```
