Eric Idle of Monty Python is probably their most-talented songwriter, but the “Pythons” were all hugely-talented creative forces IMO.
To me, this one here has some magical, theatre-like, crushing charm. It’s from “The Meaning of Life,” a pretty wild film that appalled many and probably couldn’t have been made by anyone else. I happen to love it.
