Unless it has direct access to a locked down Kindle or Kindle source code it knew how to do it because a human figured it out first.

I had a website help me jailbreak my kindle. The website asked me like 3 questions and then gave me very good and easy to follow instructions. Took me like 20 minutes to do the whole thing.

Quite often jailbreaking a device will involve some rather esoteric steps, many of which are actively being patched out by the developer. As such when a LLM tries to piecemeal a guide together from it’s training data you can end up with nonsensical instructions that are cobbled together from many unrelated (and often outdated) methods to a jailbreak.
