Chuck Varga passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026 after a ten-year battle with metastatic prostate cancer. He was 68.
He was a co-founder of Slave Pit Productions and of the band Gwar, playing a supporting character called ‘The Sexicutioner’ who generally battled things in the background while the band has to play the song. He would sometimes do other roles when the band was in a pinch even doing monster roles such as ‘Gorgor’. He had a few songs that were his songs to sing (Ragnarok, Sexicutioner), his work was primarily behind the scenes.
He helped in much of the early costume, prop and set design having to do it all in order to do it as they artistically envisioned it. He helped in much of the bands early lore and story, the mythos of Gwar the aliens. He totally did his part in making Gwar the spectacular experience that it is. If you’ve never seen a Gwar show, you are really missing out on a unique experience.
